Christmas Card #1

I am going to try to post A Christmas card/project a day.  We'll see how this goes since I am working full time :)  This one uses the colors whisper white, melon mambo, pacific point, early espresso and a #420F paint chip from Home Depot.  Also uses the Northern Flurry embossing folder from the regular catalog, and the Tags for You stamp set/punch from the holiday catalog.  Enjoy!!!

Christmas is Coming!!!

I had to share this card tonight that I made with the Perfect Pennants Big Shot Die. This die will work in a Cuttlebug if you have one. I used a paintchip sample I had and die cut 2 triangles at one time to make trees!  Added a few more extras and a Merry Christmas stamp and DONE!  I thought it turned out quite nice, don't you think?

Get creative!!!

I had to go to a birthday party today and I forgot to buy wrapping paper for the gift yesterday. I didn't want to have to go I the store so I got CREATIVE!!!  I took a paper grocery bag, cut off the bottom, got a spray bottle of water and my iron (found a use for my iron which I NEVER use).  I sprayed the bag with water, ironed out the wrinkles, got my swallowtail stamp, rich razzleberry ink, and got to work!  I stamped the entire bag and made a tag, used raffia to tie it all up. I love the way it turned out!  Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

New Catalog Fun!

I finally got a chance to play with some new stamp sets.  This summer has gone by WAY to quickly and we will be going back to school before you know it!  Anyway... here is a pretty card I came up with today.  Very simple and basic and uses the new Chalk Talk set and coordinating framlits set from the Stampin' Up catalog on page12 or found online here. 

I used the colors Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, and Basic Gray along with an aqua-painter to give it a watercolor effect and then took some ink and flicked it on with a toothbrush for the spatters.

Pretty cool lookin', huh?

New Stampin' Up catalog!!!

My First Tutorial -- Big Shot Flower

 1.  You need 3 coffee filters and the fun flowers die.

 2.  Make your sandwich and run through the Big Shot.

 3.  This is what it looks like right after you run it through and take the top plate off.

 4.  Separate all the flowers.  You should have 3 of each size.

 5.  Put them all together, staggering them as you stack them.

 6.  Poke a hole in the center with a piercing tool a put a brad in the center to hold them together.

 7.  Put alcohol and about 20 drops of ink refill in the spritzer.

 7.  Put in a box to catch the overspray.

 8.  Spray until you get desired color and fluff.  If should dry within about 15 minutes.

9.  Finished Product.  See the post I just did on the scrapbook page with the red flower.  It was done with 2 coffee filters so it wasn't so fluffy.

A Great Day to Scrap!

I've been wanting to do something with these pictures for a while.  They are so special to me, because they are some of the few pictures I have of my mom with Nathan before she died.  I wanted to keep the decorations minimal to highlight the photos.  I think it turned out perfect!   This is also a good way to maybe use some 8X10 photos you may have been wanting to scrapbook.  The flower is made out of coffee filters and the fun flowers die and then sprayed with ink refill mixed with alcohol.  All papers, ink, dies, punches to make this page are from Stampin' Up.  If you would like more details on how to make this page, please contact me :)  My Jonesburg stamp camp group will be making these pages next week.

This is another easy card to put together, just use DSP and the 2 1/2 inch circle punch and you're almost done!  Then use the apothecary accents framelits to cut out the stamped image, emboss with the honeycomb embossing folder, add ribbon and you're done!  The stamp comes from the Patterned Occasions and the Designer Series paper is called Sycamore Street.  Both of the items you are able to get for FREE with a $50 purchase right now!  If you would like to order, you can contact me or go through my Stampin' Up website :)
